Merry Christmas

“Good tidings of great joy” came with the first Christmas. We need good news, with all that happening in the world today. That’s what makes Christmas so necessary to our Christian faith and lives. It gives us hope and comfort in knowing that we are not alone in our struggles. Christ has come as our Emmanuel, “God with us.”

Marlene and I wish you and your loved ones a most blessed Christmas season. May you know the joy of the shepherds and wise men who found their way to Bethlehem to worship the Christ child.

We are thankful to be serving the Lord and His church here in Alturas, California. As for our four children: Melana is living in Statesboro, Georgia, where she has an assistantship in piano in the Georgia Southern University music department. Jonathan is staying with his grandmother Chasteen in Xenia, Ohio, where he is working at a local Kroger food store, and tentatively planning to continue his college work in the fall of 2010. Josiah and James are attending California Baptist University in Riverside, California. Josiah is a music education graduate student, concentrating in trumpet, and James is pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Theology degree.

We are grateful to be blessed with friends and loved ones like you at this Christmas season. Our love and prayers to you and yours!
